For over 3 years now, gold in US dollars has never closed out a month above $US2000. It breached that resistance during Aug 2020, March 2022, and also March, April & May 2023….. but never closed out those months above it.
Will this time be different?
Take a guess at the closing $US gold bid price as displayed here on Friday 1 Dec at 6.40am AEST and if you land on it or are the closest to it, we’ll sell you this 2015 1 oz Gold Buffalo for $A200 below spot, Australia Wide delivery included.
1. Bids, or rather guestimates, can only be made up until 8pm AEST on Thursday 30 November.
2. Two decimal places required, e.g: $2006.22
3. To make things a little fairer, the earlier you post the more guesses you’ll be granted. For example, 6 guesses for Sat 25/11, 5 on 26/11, 4 on 25/11 etc. Only 1 on Thursday 30.
4. No duplicates – first in best dressed. It is your responsibility to make sure the guestimate you make has not already been taken.
1.1 To participate in the gold bid price guessing competition, individuals must be registered members of myBullion
1.2 Participants must sign up for a myBullion PRO subscription
1.3 Individuals are required to upload an avatar to their profile on myBullion to qualify for the competition.
1.4 Only registered members who have fulfilled the above criteria are eligible to post their bid/guess for the gold bid price.
2.1 Bids (guestimates) for the closing international gold bid price, as displayed here on the specified date and time (Friday 1 December at 9:00 am AEST), must be submitted before 8:00 pm AEST on Thursday 30 November.
2.2 All bids must be in the format of two decimal places, for example, $2006.22.
2.3 The earlier a participant posts their bid, the more guesses they will be granted. For instance, individuals who post on Thursday 23 will be granted 8 guesses, those posting the following day will receive 7 guesses, and so on, reducing by one guess per day until Thursday 30, where only 1 guess will be allowed.
2.4 Duplicate bids will not be accepted. The first bid posted will be considered, and subsequent duplicate bids will be disregarded.
3.1 The individual who accurately guesses the closing international gold bid price or is the closest to it will be eligible to purchase the 2015 1 oz Gold Buffalo at a price $A200 below the spot price. The price includes Australia-wide delivery.
3.2 The winning participant must agree to purchase the gold at the discounted price within the specified timeframe and adhere to the payment terms set by myBullion
4.1 myBullion reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition or any part thereof if necessary, for any reason without prior notice.
4.2 myBullion shall not be liable for any technical issues, interruptions, or malfunctions that may affect the submission or processing of bids.
All products sold on myBullion are pre-owned. If purchased, you can expect to receive an item in good to excellent condition (as in image shown), and matching the details and specifications listed.
Can I ‘Buy it Now’?
Yes. Simply click on the product image, which will take you to the main product page showing its retail price. Once paid, the auction will be ended.
What shipping fees are charged for items won at auction?
For rare items listed by myBullion, shipping is included free of charge. For rare items listed by vendors, refer to that members profile to see what shipping charges apply.
Can I be notified when other users make bids?
Yes, if you click the ‘Subscribe’ tab (located above your avatar) on the auction page, we’ll send you email notifications whenever bids are made. You are able to unsubscribe from these updates at any time.
Is there a reserve price set?
Yes, the first bid made by us is the minimum acceptable for the item listed. Should the auction conclude with no further bids, the item is considered not sold.
I have a rare item that I’d like to sell. Can I have it listed here?
Yes, you can make a request by simply contacting us and your item will be listed here in auction format.
I keep getting an error message when trying to bid.
