The Morgan Dollar inspired round from the Highland Mint was created to pay homage to one of America’s most beloved coins. The initial design, originally engraved by George T. Morgan, and for which the coin would eventually derive its namesake, was minted for the first time in 1878 at the United States Mint facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
